8:54PM - Intruder Alert!!!
There is another cat in the apartment! I know, I am just as shocked and appalled as you are!! Apparently, this invader of my territory is a 'stray kitten' (she's seven months old!) and has a 'kitty cold' and that's what's keeping her separated (and protected) from me.
Grrrrrrooooowwwllllll. This will not stand! I don't care how 'cute' she is, I don't care if, unlike moi, she is a big 'lap cat'. I don't care! This is outrageous. I demand a recount!... or something!!
Yeah! Hmph. *Pout*

6:56PM - Animal Abuse in Ukraine
www.MatesMaster.com friends and romance network, the site which is constantly involved in Animal Welfare programs, joins forces with Kiev City Society for the Protection of Animals in protest to the inhumane treatment of animals, abuse and cruelty in Ukraine.
About 156,000 stray cats and dogs are annually hurt, abused and killed in Ukrainian citiesand towns. When caught by the dog catchers, some stray animals are used forpainful experiments.
Stray dogs are often bludgeoned or put to death by electricity or caught using an inhumane poison and sometimes die slow, painful deaths. Instead of putting an animal to sleep with the use of euthanasia (i.e. the act of killing an animal painlessly), the animal service uses dithylinum (suxamethonium chloride), a poison which paralyzes the animal and causes it to die of suffocation in a few hours of agony. There is ample evidence that the poor creatures are still conscious and feel all the pain before they die. It is often the case that animals are beaten with legs and metal sticks, whereupon they are buried or burned alive.
Lots of people witnessed animals being tortured and murdered - little kittens tied up in plastic bags and thrown in the river, people intentionally run stray pets over with their cars, newly born puppies dumped on vacant land without their mother and left them to die.
Stories are endless and make hearts of every Human Being bleed.
Authorities of small Ukrainian communities for ever used and are still using different kind of poison - rat poison and recently they "discovered" a new method of killing stray animals - Isoniazidum (Tubazidum) anti-tuberculosis drug causing cheap, but very slow and painful death

8:48PM - The Cat Says....
I'm a new cat on LJ, who's got a "primarily photo journal". I don't talk alot. If you have a look at the journal you'll realize its a bit different... there are some occasional Guest Cat photos from my friends. Anyway, I'm very happy to see other cats on lj. I hadn't realized there'd be so many!
Do drop by my LJ and say hello. the_cat_says I'm a bit sarcastic. I'm out to get The Woman. I plot her demise daily.
Woof, says the cat!

11:00AM - Cat furniture
this past weekend my humans went out and got me a nice 4 story cat tree. I have decided that I like it very, very much, but I want more!!! I need at least another one for the living room.
Time to have my humans build me one (or two, or..). Anyone have any good pics of their favorite furniture? Or know any good sites I can send my humans to so they can find good designs and info?
*purr purr* This will be great!

10:52PM - OUTSIDE!!
I excaped and ran freeeeeeeeeee for a few days... It was great.
It was also cold. And wet. So I came back. They always get so upset when I flee out the door thing. I know I'm not supposed to, but I still do it. I may be fat now, but still quicker then a daft human.
I'm also quicker then that dog thing my human's litter mom has. I am also bigger then it. HA! I like her though. Only cat that does. I lick her head. Do dogs know how to wash? I don't think so..
I talked to my human on the phone today. PURRED!
It was confusing. But it was her.
I hate house-hunting. Who knew it was a slow hunt.

Hahahaha! I am a great big labrador/golden retriever called Honey and I just love stirring up all you little kittys! I live with three, but I get bored of barking at only them all day, so I thought I'd come and stir things up here!
Woof woof woof woof woof!
Don't worry, I'm all bark and no bite.

2:22PM - Luna
I'm Luna, my sister, Sammy is eating. She left LJ open, how silly of her. Anyways, I'm 1 and a half years old, My sister Sam and I have the same birthday. She came up with my name and my whole family voted on it. Luna means moon in Greek, Italian, and French. I'm a siamese cat. I met my family when they fostered me and my siblings. We stayed with them for 5 weeks before we were old enough to be adopted. Then we were taken down to PetSmart, leaving our mommy, Mrs. Skipperdoo, at home. My family had decided to keep one of us, and they decided to choose me. I had to get shots and then say goodbye to my siblings. Over the next few days my 4 siblings moved off. I've been with my family since I was 4 weeks old, when i was found in a box, and taken to a shelter. Yeah, well my sister will be back in the room any minute! So bye!
PS: Sammy found out bout this post lol, she said she is going to get me my own account!

9:08AM - Update from da skwerl.
Ok. I'm still lookin in yer windows, sometimes tapping to make sure you get yer exercise. Usually, I watch to see what yer doin, cause I get bored. I see ya laying on the window sills and in the doorways, grooming and thinking about moving. I have to let y'all know about some cats that make you all look like pitiful slackers. Yes, the The Moscow Cat Theatre has it all. These cats have it together.

12:31AM - Collars...
My collar is a good thing. It is leather with spiky bits.. I wear it with pride, in fact, I don't like it when it comes off. Makes me worry.
A collar sez that your human wants you around and likes you around. Sophia's human got her and the others collars today. Sophia hates it! I don't get it, I mean, sure, it doesn't have spikys! But it has shiny bits. And it means the human doesn't want her to leave!
She said something about "complete dog domination" and "slavish followers". Huh?
Whatever, I LIKE my collar. It's that damned harness I hate! Even if I get to go outside, I still hate it.
errrrr...... I'm not a dog!!!! NOT A DOG!

Oh, its offical. Autumn's in heat for the first time. My little baby girl's all grown up now...*sniff*
Its been 4 days now, and my Logan (poor boy) is naive. He just doesn't know what to do with her. I know he's neutered, but still, some things are instinct anyhow. Anyway, it has been a great source of laughter however. I think he is trying to figure it out. He'll tease her by licking her, then walks away. Autumn actually looked like real tears were coming last night. *snickers* Some boys just can't take a hint. At least she isn't doing the loud mewling. And she will soon be fixed. *sigh*
Friday, March 17, 2006
Well, Logan got fixed back in February as you all know, and my Pandora got fixed as when she was young. So 3 cats, all house cats. Well, it does seem to be Autumn's turn. It will have to wait until I have back working again and at least no kittens will come of anything as she doesn't go out. We are being extra careful about making sure she isn't at the front door when we go in or out. She hasn't started the squaling or loud mewling yet, but she walks through the apartment making trilling noises that she uses to call Logan with. She flops down and rolls on the floor all the while making trilling noises. She'll go over and rub under Logan's chin and then assume the mating position. Her trilling gets more insistant. Logan looks at her as if to say, "what?". She rubs him again and again assumes the position. She got frustrated with Logan last night and actually stuck her butt on his nose. Then assumes the position. He looks at me so dumbfounded. He truely doesn't know what she wants. I laughed so hard that my sides hurt. I guess brazen66 has to have the birds and bees chat with him. You know, Man to Man-Cat. LMAO

Monday, January 30, 2006
Hello everyone! I decided to make a group for the forgotten kitties. It's all about posting photos/bits of stray cats(haw). The vagabonds are near or around most of our homes, so it should be great fun to see photos of cats from all over. I presume it will be jovial. Thanks for reading.

7:52AM - Was my baby in heat?
I am not sure but I think my little tiny girl went into heat this week. About 5 days ago, she got pretty moody. She would allow me to hold her and give her cuddles, and she dwould not play with her older brother, Logan. Autumn and Logan are the best of buddies. They literally cannot be separated usually. Every time he wanted to play he got growled at and smacked by a tiny calico paw. I felt bad for him. When my fiancee picked her up to comfort her (she usually loves brazen66 better than me), she growled at him. I immediately picked her up to see what was wrong with her and she began to purr and snuggle in (hurting brazen66's feelings I might add). She slept more and didn't play very much and her appetite increased some. About 3 days ago now, I noticed her a little swollen like a cat in season will get. For about 4 days she just didn't "feel good" I guess is the best way to describe it. Kind of blah, like I get when I have cramps. (Actually a co-worker of mine was wondering if a female gets menstral cramps and then I began to wonder the same thing). We didn't have any of the rolling around and yowling that you hear about, but then she and my other two fur~children are all indoor cats. Logan is the only male and he was fixed right before Christmas. Maybe she sensed trying to get laid was a futile attempt (I just won't tell Logan). Anyhow, her attitude seems more normal (like her old self....she is no longer treating anything with a penis like crap) and she now no longer looks like she is in heat physically. I thought her "period" was supposed to last longer. But then I thought about how a woman's cycle is usually 3 to 5 days and she was physically swollen about 3 to 4. I couldn't tell if she bled any at all as she keeps herself pretty clean and she suddenly became slightly obsessive about it this week.
So did she go into heat, or was this just a PMS cycle and we have more to look forward to. I hope she did so I can have her fixed in a couple of weeks. I was waiting for this cycle so I could have her to the vet a couple of weeks later.
